Vincent Wong - Biography

Chief photographer Vincent Wong studied photography at the Ryerson Polytechnic University in Toronto from 1976 to 1980, and graduated with a B.A. degree in still photographic studies.

He has worked extensively in all areas of photography before taking up wedding photography as his major profession in 1990.

Moved to Vancouver from Hong Kong

  • Started Vision Nouvelle Bridal & Photo Studio in Richmond B.C. in 1990

  • Won Silver Award for creativity in Toronto’s Studio Magazine in 1995

  • Assigned as official photographer in 1994 & 1995 for Miss Vancouver Beauty Pageant

  • Official photographer for the Lifestyle & Entertainment Magazine from 1996 to 2000

  • Photographer for Vancouver’s modern dance groups, the Kokoro Dance, the Kinesis Dance and Jumpstart Performance

  • First solo exhibition at Chinatown Art Gallery in 1998, “Dance for Life”

  • Still photographer for the Wesley Lowe’s film “Hanging Out” and Osborne’s NFB film “Unwanted Soldier” in 1998

  • King Arthur Film Production of “Sola 2000”

  • Multimedia projects “Graffiti 2002” and “Apocalypse and Glory” with Kim Tuson

  • Participated in Kim Tuson & Michelle Olson’s multimedia project “Songs of Shor Cho” at the Danoja Zho Cultural Centre in Dawson City, Yukon in July 2003
